Playoff System Merely Would Prove BYU No. 1

There is nobody who would rather see a playoff system developed in NCAA Division 1 football than the fans of BYU. That would settle once and for all the argument of who is the best team in the land, as Cougar fans would all bet their homes that BYU would win it all anyway. They already have won 24 games in a row. Do you want 48 straight before you believe? Anybody who saw the Holiday Bowl knows that the Cougars played with a one-legged quarterback, spotted Michigan six turnovers and still dominated all phases of the game. When the playoff system is begun, BYU will add Nebraska, Oklahoma, Washington and Ohio State to its existing list of victories over UCLA, Pitt, Baylor, SMU and Air Force.
