Come off it, quys (“A Palm Springs Scrapbook,” by Paul Rosenfield, Dec. 30)!

Who cares if Shirley Jones lost 20 pounds in Palm Springs for her Ralphs commercials? She could’ve lost it as easily in Cabazon and it wouldn’t have made a difference. The article was silly and didn’t even come close to representing the real Palm Springs. Nice try.

P.S. In case you’re interested, I relax as soon as I reach the Marongo Indian Bingo Parlor.
