Industrial Parks : Construction Begins on 38-Acre Azusa Center

Azusa Industrial Center, a 38-acre development at the former site of Miller Brewing Co., is under construction.

A joint venture between Messenger Investment Co. of Irvine and IVO Inc., a subsidiary of Mission Viejo Realty Group Inc., Azusa Industrial Center is located near the intersection of 8th and Vernon streets. Oltmans Construction Co. of Monterey Park is the project’s general contractor. Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services is the project’s marketing agent.

New Tenants Signed The 80-acre Vineyard Industrial Park in Oxnard has registered its first pair of national tenants--a major supplier of fresh-cut flowers to cities across the nation and a French import firm--according to Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage Group. The two firms join Heublein, Cameron Iron Works, West Coast Suspension, Buena Building Supplies and sonic Instruments as major tenants in the new park, located at Vineyard Avenue and Lambert Street near the Ventura Freeway. The park presently consists of the nine industrial buildings in its first phase. When fully developed, Phases 1 and 2 will comprise about 500,000 square feet of industrial and office structures.

Building Under Way Construction is under way on Payne Industrial Park, a 100,000-square-foot project on a 5.95-acre site on 30th Street in the South San Diego Industrial Park area. The property was purchased by Payne Industrial Park Partnership I for $1.27 million from Southern Pacific Development Co. Grubb & Ellis represented both parties in the transaction and will serve as the leasing agent for Payne Industrial Park.
