Longway Elected President of Engineering Contractors’ Assn.

Robert B. Longway, president of a Hacienda Heights firm bearing his name, has been elected president of the Engineering Contractors’ Assn., succeeding Mike Spadier of L. D. M. Pipeline Inc. of Baldwin Park.

Longway will be installed at a dinner-dance Friday at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel. Other officers to be installed at the same time are John Bebek Jr. of G. R. McKervey Inc. of Irvine, vice president; Nick Lee of NLE Inc. of Irvine, secretary, and Norma Gilliard of W. H. Gilliard Co. Inc. of Los Angeles, treasurer.

Contractors elected to the 1985 board of directors are Greg Antonovich, George Miller Construction, Los Angeles; Vic Beecher, Beecher Construction, West Covina; Don Brage, Brage Construction, Upland; Bob Castongia, Robert G. Castongia Inc., Downey; Ray Jarvis, Century Paving Inc., La Mirada; Alan Ludwig, Pascal & Ludwig Engineers, Ontario; Pauline McMaster, McMaster Construction Co. Inc., Cerritos.

The Engineering Contractors’ Assn. is an organization pledged to serve engineering contractors engaged in underground pipelines, grading, paving and all phases of engineering contracting. The membership consists of union and non-union contractor members and affiliate members working toward a more productive and healthy construction industry in California.
