Gallagher Lifts Titans to 64-62 Victory

Meg Gallagher scored 23 points to led the Cal State Fullerton women’s basketball team to a 64-62 nonconference victory over Oklahoma State Saturday night in Titan gym.

The game was close for most of the second half and came down to a Gallagher jump shot with 22 second remaining. Her 12-foot shot gave the Titans a 64-60 lead. Oklahoma State then came down and missed twice from the field before Fullerton rebounded the ball and fed it to Jennifer Latta, who was fouled. Latta missed her free throw and Oklahoma State got an easy basket.

The Titans (9-4) will open Western Collegiate Athletic Assn. play Jan. 12 at Stanford. Oklahoma State (8-3) was led by Kathy Schulz with 22 points and Jackie Glosson with 13 rebounds.
