Cheaper Safari
Re the Africa safari article by Horace Sutton (Nov. 25): I would like to recommend a safari for those who are not Rockefellers, Pillsburys, etc., but who would like just as much for their money. I have just returned from a three-week tour of South Africa which included a McFarlane safari in Kruger National Park. Our stay was at Oliphant’s Camp in a beautiful setting above the Oliphant River. The accommodations were in rondavels (round concrete thatch-roofed houses with porches), with air conditioning, showers, dressing tables and refrigerators. The food was excellent.
Your safari is tailored for you to choose what you want to do; they provide the means and guides to make it possible. I highly recommend McFarlane Safaris, P.O. Box 22, Hazyview 1242, Republic of South Africa. Telegraph address Macsafaris.
