Golden Gate bridge directors have rejected a proposal to raise auto tolls to $2 seven days a week. The current toll is $1, except on Fridays and Saturdays, when it is $2. Bridge district General Manager Carney Campion proposed the hike, stirring a flood of complaints to directors’ offices. San Francisco Supervisor John Molinari, a member of the bridge board, said Campion failed to discuss his proposal with directors before making it public.
