The Dublin, Calif.-based company did not disclose the price of the cash transaction, which involved 31 Honey’s stores, headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., and 46 Checker Auto Parts Stores (34 in Dallas-Fort Worth, five in Amarillo, Tex., and seven in Oklahoma). The sale is expected to close Feb. 4. Lucky Stores, which will continue to own 380 Checker and Kragen auto-parts stores in 13 Western states, including California, said it sold the stores to Dallas-based Southland because they were located too far from its auto-parts distribution center.
