Applied Circuit Technology of Anaheim has announced that it and Mitsui & Co. Ltd have signed a letter of intent for the distribution and support of Applied Circuit’s test equipment in Japan.

In a statement announcing the letter of intent, Applied Circuit’s president, Walt Menetrey, said that the Japanese market “is very promising for our higher volume production test equipment.”

The automatic test equipment is used in the manufacture of rigid disk drives that store data for computer systems.
