Amdahl will move a local division’s headquarters.

The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based computer firm intends to move the Marina del Rey headquarters of its communications systems division to Dallas, possibly beginning next year, in an effort to be more centrally located and to better attract employees, said Dave Horton, a vice president and general manager. However, the firm has not decided whether the entire facility will be closed and thus does not know the effect on its 260 employees, he said.
