Culver City
The City Council has voted against giving Community Development Block Grant funds to private nonprofit agencies during the 1985-86 fiscal year. The city will spend an estimated $495,000 in block grant money on its own projects.
If money becomes available for outside projects, it will go to those concentrating on the east end of the city, senior citizens or removal of barriers to the handicapped, according to city administrator Dale Jones.
The City Council last year gave a total of $32,000 to two groups that serve the handicapped.
