NATION The Chicago Board Options Exchange has reelected Richard E. Lurie as chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the exchange. Borg Warner Corp., Chicago, has elected James J. Gavin Jr., senior vice president-finance, to the post of vice chairman. Edsel Ford, 36, great-grandson of auto pioneer Henry Ford, has been named general marketing manager of Ford Motor Co.’s Lincoln-Mercury division. He had been advertising manager of the Ford division for a year. Al Earley has been named president of Del E. Webb Recreational Properties Inc., Phoenix, a wholly owned subsidiary of Del E. Webb Corp. John W. Stanger has been named chairman of Signal Capital Corp. of Hampton, N.H., a unit of La Jolla-based Signal Cos. He is a former president and chief executive of General Electric Credit Corp. CALIFORNIA American Restaurants Corp., Ventura, has named Jack Sutton senior vice president and chief operating officer. LOS ANGELES COUNTY Leonard Swartz was named executive vice president of Postal Instant Press, Los Angeles.
