Daum Acquires Property Firm

Daum Corp. of Los Angeles, an industrial and commercial real estate firm, has acquired Business Properties Brokerage Co., with offices in Newport Beach, Anaheim and La Jolla.

Barry H. Smooke, Daum’s president, announced that top management of the acquired company will move into key positions with Daum. Larry Scher, president and co-founder of Business Properties, becomes executive vice president; Don Mellon remains as vice president and manager of Daum’s new San Diego area headquarters in La Jolla, and Leo Notar continues as vice president in charge of the Anaheim office for Business Properties and for Daum.
