A New York firm bought 5.2% of ICA stock.

JK Partners, a securities and commodity-futures investment firm in New York, said it has bought 737,000 common shares, or 5.2%, of the outstanding shares of San Diego-based Imperial Corp. of America. The purchase was made for investment purposes, according to JK Partners’ filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. ICA officials said they were unaware of the firm or its principals, John R. Jakobson, Douglas A. Kass and Alfred R. Stern.
