Driver, 83, Dies in Laguna Hills Crash

An 83-year-old Laguna Hills man was killed Thursday evening in a two-car collision on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.

The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was eastbound on Alicia about 5:30 p.m. when he attempted to make a left turn onto Bentley Lane and was struck by a car traveling west on Alicia, the spokeswoman said.

The westbound car did not have its headlights on, according to the CHP. The accident was still under investigation late Thursday.
