Search was resumed for a 63-year-old man who failed to return to Marina del Rey from a daylong fishing trip alone in an 18-foot power boat. The Coast Guard said its helicopter, which was grounded by nighttime fog, took to the air again at daylight to aid surface craft searching the water from Palos Verdes Point to Point Dume and as far out as Santa Barbara Island. The man’s name was not released pending notification of his family.
