Two Aboard Plane Die in Crash

SAN DIEGO — Two people were killed Monday night when their small plane crashed in rugged terrain about 40 miles east of here, sheriff’s deputies reported.
Witnesses reported seeing the Cessna 185 Skywagon go down in the brushland outside Pine Valley about 6:45 p.m.
The origin and destination of the flight was not immediately known, and investigators withheld identification of the victims pending notification of relatives.
