Rosemont Junior High students pet a horse, top, at school’s annual Save The Earth Day, which featured about 70 speakers last Thursday. They included environmentalists, government workers, professors and business people. Horned owl from Magic Mountain made appearance, and Mark Wilson, 13, had chance to use a fish as base for artwork. Another water animal--the shark--drew a crowd, as Glendale College instructor Gregg Forbes demonstrated dissection. Other instruction included how to avoid child abuse and how to belly dance.
