The Planning Commission has approved the first condominium conversion under a plan that allows tenants to purchase their apartments. The apartment building, located at 2234 Virginia Ave., has four two-bedroom apartments. Two units are being sold for $78,900 and two for $82,400.
Under the plan, approved by voters last June, two-thirds of the tenants must agree to allow the conversion and half of the tenants must state their intention to buy their units.
