Moped Rider Dies After Bike Hits Parked Truck

An Anaheim man was fatally injured Thursday morning when the moped he was riding struck an illegally parked truck, police said.
Charles Phillip Knight, 32, was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to UCI Medical Center, Orange, where police said he died about an hour after the 6 a.m. collision. Officers said there was no one in the parked truck.
Officers said Knight was traveling west on La Palma Avenue in Anaheim when he struck the truck, which was left in a posted no-parking zone.
