UC Irvine Loses to Cal State L.A., 7-2
The UC Irvine baseball team lost to Cal State Los Angeles, 7-2, in a nonconference game Friday at Cal State L.A.
Golden Eagle pitcher Tom Johnson went nine innings, giving up six hits and six walks. Johnson struck out three. Left fielder Joe Butler was 2 for 3 with a triple and a home run for Cal State L.A.
The Anteaters (1-1-1) play a doubleheader today at Azusa Pacific at noon.
