Anteaters Rally to Beat Azusa Pacific
Bob Perry’s three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning highlighted an eight-run outburst that gave UC Irvine a 12-6 nonconference victory over Azusa Pacific Monday on the Cougars’ field.
Brett Martin relieved starter Doug Linton in the seventh inning and earned the victory for the Anteaters (2-1-1). Doug Irvine, who was 3 for 4 and scored three runs, homered in the first inning, Brady Anderson went 2 for 5 with 2 RBIs.
