Lazers Beaten by the Kansas City Comets, 6-4

The Lazers lost to the Kansas City Comets, 6-4, at the Forum Wednesday night and fell into a second-place tie with Las Vegas in the Major Indoor Soccer League’s Western Division.

The Comets took charge of the game by scoring three goals in five minutes in the fourth period to reverse a 4-3 deficit. Charlie Fajkus’ goal started the outburst. Greg Makowski and Carlos Salguero then scored for the Comets, the latter goal coming with 2:12 to play.

Zoran Savic, Poli Garcia, Juan Cardenas and Gus Mokalis were the Lazer scorers.

The Lazers and Las Vegas trail Western Division leader San Diego by 5 1/2 games.
