Rama de Oro, the North County auxiliary to Big Brothers, will hold its fourth annual casino party and dinner-dance March 2 at the Sea World Pavillion. Jane Jones chairs the party, which has “Brazil ‘85” as its theme. The dress code suggests tropical costume or black tie.

Sarah Burton and Ellie Ehlers will co-chair “Band Your Hearts Together,” a fund-raising dinner and theater party to be held March 22 at the Old Globe Theatre.

The event, which is organized by the St. Germaine Auxiliary of the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation of San Diego County, commences with cocktails and dinner at Balboa Park’s Hall of Champions. The group (limited to 250) then moves on to the Old Globe, where it will view the final dress rehearsal of George Kelly’s “The Torchbearers.” This is the first time the Globe has donated its theater to outside fund raisers.
