Santa Monica Recycle has added seven Santa Monica gas stations to its oil recycling program. The stations will accept waste oil from residents.

The stations are: Autoron Service Co., 2328 Pico Blvd.; Holmes Chevron Service, 432 Wilshire Blvd.; Don Gressman Chevron, 1330 Santa Monica Blvd.; Pae’s Union Service, 1944 Pico Blvd.; Jess Grigsby Auto Service, 401 Broadway; Milad’s Union Service, 1402 Santa Monica Blvd.; and Lee Dooley Chevron Station, 1919 Santa Monica Blvd.

“It is essential for people who change their own motor oil to recognize that it does not belong in storm drains, garbage and trash receptacles, empty lots or on the ground,” said Deborah G. Baine, Santa Monica Recycle coordinator.
