Westwood
Gold Shield, a UCLA alumnae group, has pledged $250,000 to establish a prize honoring outstanding faculty members. The award will be given every two years starting in 1986, which is the 50th anniversary of the founding of the alumnae group. Mary Lee Greenblatt is chairwoman of the Gold Shield 50th Anniversary Steering Committee.
