A woman was arrested Saturday after she admitted kidnaping and robbing the elderly mother of San Diego Chargers owner Alex G. Spanos, police said.

Eva Spanos, 84, was found unharmed late Friday about four hours after she was taken from her apartment at gunpoint, forced to sign a $1,000 check and locked in a storage shed, Police Chief Julio Cecchetti said.

Ronca Lee Boyd, 34, of Stockton was arrested for robbery and kidnaping, Police Sgt. George Barron reported.

Barron said that the money from the cashed check, less about $30, and a BB handgun were found in Boyd's apartment.
