Manhattan Beach
The Manhattan Beach City Council has allocated $178,000 to purchase and install a mini-computer that will automate the city’s accounting systems.
The computer will process data on diverse aspects of municipal government including city finances, pet licensing, employee payroll and business taxation and licensing. A parking citation system will be added to the computer program at a later date, according to City Manager David Thompson.
The system is scheduled for installation in the fall.
