The availability of infielder Rick Burleson, whose comeback from a second rotator cuff tear was derailed by a dislocated shoulder suffered lifting weights Dec. 31, remains in doubt. Dr. Lewis Yocum, the team physician, said Burleson’s primary problem remains a lack of feeling in his right hand, the result of nerve damage. Dr. Yocum said the condition is improving, but there is no reason for Burleson to report to spring training until the hand is 100%.
