A 20-year-old Ramona man was killed Sunday when his car went out of control and struck a tree on San Vicente Road, the California Highway Patrol reported. Rufino Alva was headed east on San Vicente west of Wild Cat Canyon Road about 8:30 a.m. when his station wagon failed to negotiate a turn and became airborne for about 100 feet before hitting the tree. Alva was pronounced dead at the scene.
