Man Found Shot to Death in Sun Valley

A38-year-old man was found shot to death in Sun Valley Saturday afternoon, police reported.
The man, found at about 2 p.m. in the rear yard of a residence on the 12100 block of Jerome Street, was identified as Michael Daugherty, a transient.
He carried no identification, but investigators from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified him from his fingerprints, police said.
Police said there were no suspects and no motive had been established.
