Supervisor Pete Schabarum will be the keynote speaker at the county’s annual contracting conference at 9 a.m. today at the Los Angeles State and County Arboretum, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia. The conference, which will run until 12:30 p.m., will offer free advice to private businesses on how they can compete for county contracts.
