Boise Cascade Corp. and Times Mirror Co. ended talks concerning Boise Cascade’s possible purchase of Times Mirror’s ailing newsprint and forest-products division because “certain tax problems could not be worked out,” a Times Mirror spokeswoman said. The talks had been announced Feb. 8.
