Sheriff’s homicide detectives Thursday released the identity of a Sylmar woman who died after being thrown from a moving car Wednesday in the Angeles National Forest north of La Crescenta.

A witness told police the woman, 34-year-old Lyna Michelle Sandoval, was shoved from “an old, dirty white or yellow station wagon” driving on Angeles Crest Highway about one-half mile south of the Angeles Forest Highway at about 2:30 p.m., Deputy Mason Kenny said.

Sandoval died of her injuries Wednesday afternoon at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, Kenny said. He said detectives have no suspects.
