A fire set by two young children in an unfinished condominium in Anaheim on Saturday caused an estimated $2,000 in damages, according to a Fire Department official. “It was a classic case of kids playing with matches,” Battalion Chief Tom Vandiver said. The fire, at the Sanford Court condominiums at 534 N. Wake Forest, engulfed the second floor of the unit in smoke before it was extinguished, which took about 10 minutes. A fire inspector talked to two juveniles at the scene, Vandiver said, and the pair admitted to setting fire to paper in the unit’s bathtub. Vandiver said that the children, who appeared to be 6 or 7 years old, were not charged.
