The Pier Restoration Corp. Board of Directors will present final design alternatives for the reconstruction of the pier at 10 a.m. Saturday in the City Council chambers at City Hall.
Representatives from Daniel Mann Johnson Mendenhall, an architectural firm that has been analyzing the pier, will present the results of tests on various alternatives for rebuilding the structure. Gail Markens, Pier Restoration Corp. executive director, said the group will make a proposal for rebuilding the pier to the City Council in April.
