Dailey Named to Fire Post:Thomas C. Dailey has been named fire protection director and will oversee the city’s fire operations, paramedic and prevention divisions, as well as the city’s code enforcement, animal shelter and recycling operations. Dailey, a former fire marshal for Newport Beach, succeeds Ronny J. Coleman, who resigned last December. Dailey, a 25-year veteran of fire service, is an instructor in fire prevention at Santa Ana College and serves on the executive board of the Southern California Fire Prevention Officers Assn.
