Three people were injured, two critically, when their cars collided Wednesday at the intersection of Paradise Valley Road and Woodman Street, a San Diego police official said. Karen Hurt, 25, and her 3-year-old son, Thomas, were taken by Life Flight helicopter in critical condition to UC San Diego Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said. The driver of the other car, Feliciano Cuasay, 42, was taken to Mercy Hospital in fair condition. Police said Hurt was driving westbound on Paradise Valley Road when her car was struck broadside by the car driven by Cuasay.
