A Chatsworth contractor who admitted that he sold an allegedly fraudulent cancer treatment, a murky herbal tea called ADS, was placed on probation for two years by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gordon Ringer, who also ordered Robert A. Sanford, 47, to perform 100 hours of community service. Sanford, who pleaded no contest last month to a single charge of unlawfully selling a cancer treatment, was an investor in Amerasia Corp., a business that imported and distributed ADS.
