Sophomore Tony White scored 23 points, and guard Michael Brooks came alive down the stretch to lead Tennessee to a 61-54 victory over Virginia Saturday and a berth in the National Invitation Tournament’s Final Four.

The smaller Vols trailed throughout the game, catching the Cavaliers with 4:33 remaining on a pair of free throws by Anthony Richardson.

From there, the outside shooting of Brooks, who hit twice from the top of the key and again from the right corner, and five consecutive throws by White raised the Southeastern Conference Vols’ record to 21-14.
