Uniden said it is moving its headquarters.

The communications equipment company also said that, in addition to moving its headquarteres from Huntington Beach, 35 of the 70 workers at the offices will be laid off as the company consolidates its operations in Indianapolis, beginning Monday. Uniden, the U.S. subsidiary of Uniden International, employs 300 workers at its Indiana facility, where some of the Huntington Beach workers will be transferred. The company is a leading maker of cordless telephones. It also will close its New York offices, laying off the five employees there.
