Whitehead Leads Patrick Henry

SAN DIEGO — Patrick Henry High School center fielder Norman Whitehead went 4 for 5 Thursday to pace a 14-hit attack in the Patriots’ 15-2 nonleague victory over San Diego.
Whitehead had three doubles, three RBIs and scored three times to help the Patrick Henry improve its record to 5-1.
Patriot third baseman Eric Karros went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. First baseman Mile Thomas was 2 for 5 with four RBIs. Mike Romberg (1-0) pitched 2 innings and picked up the win. The Patriots used seven pitchers, despite being in control of the game throughout. San Diego is 2-6.
