15 Arrested in Police Sweep
Police raided a string of suspected criminal hangouts stretching from Canyon Country to Los Angeles’ Echo Park district this morning, arresting 15 people, some of whom allegedly sold $37 million in stolen credit cards, traveler’s checks and other property to undercover officers, authorities said.
Los Angeles Police Lt. Robert Kimball said additional arrests are expected in the raids, which culminate an investigation by the Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Culver City police departments and the Sheriff’s Department out of a storefront operation in West Los Angeles.
