High Schools Join Program to Curb Crime
The Centinela Valley Union High School District has joined the WE TIP program in an effort to curb narcotics sale and use, vandalism, extortion, assaults, fighting and other problems on its three campuses--Leuzinger, Hawthorne and Lloyde.
Supt. McKinley Nash said actual or potential campus problems can be reported by calling 675-4386. Anonymous callers can give details of the problem to an answering machine and a secretary will relay the information to authorities, he said.
Nash said Leuzinger parents suggested participation in WE TIP, a statewide program that attempts to curb crime through the use of information from anonymous informants.
