Fire in Condo Kitchen Causes $40,000 Damage
- Share via
An unattended stove-top pan filled with cooking oil started a fire that caused an estimated $40,000 to the kitchen of a Yorba Linda condominium.
Orange County Fire Department Capt. Mark Reinhold said the residents, a couple and their infant, fled the house on Ranch Drive when the fire spread to the kitchen cabinets Tuesday night. They were not injured, Reinhold said.
Susan Georgieff was heating oil and left the kitchen to check on the baby, Reinhold said. When she returned, the oil had caught fire.
