An intensive search was launched Thursday by Los Angeles police for three men who allegedly kidnaped a woman and held her captive for 21 hours, during which she was raped repeatedly.

Police said the woman was kidnaped at gunpoint from the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Los Angeles Street at about 4 p.m. Wednesday. She was forced into a blue station wagon, blindfolded, and driven to a building, where she was tied to a chair and assaulted, Lt. David Garrison said. She was released at 16th and Stanford Streets.

Garrison described the abductors as a man in his late 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with a short beard and medium complexion. Another was described as a man in his late 20s with a very dark complexion and the third was described only as a man with a medium complexion. All wore navy denim jackets and jeans and dark blue or black watch caps.
