Gas Prices
As I drive to work each morning I take notice of the gasoline prices. Since I paid 99 cents a gallon for unleaded five weeks ago, the price has gone as high as $1.21 with a low here and there of $1.18.
What is the explanation? OPEC is holding prices firm for crude; no oil country has raised prices, yet we are paying substantially more for gasoline. Is it the spring, when people tend to drive more? Is it another windfall in the making for the good old oil companies?
