A mild Santa Ana condition should sweep warm desert winds across San Diego County to the Pacific this weekend, banishing the hazy morning fog and low clouds.

Forecasters said the sun is expected to shine from the time it rises before 5:30 a.m. until the time it sets at 6:17 p.m. Saturday and 6:18 p.m. Sunday.

According to National Weather Service forecaster Harvey Hastrup, a high-pressure system is expected to filter into central Nevada from Northern California today, triggering the weak Santa Ana condition that will exist in Southern California through the weekend.

The offshore flow to the sea is expected to lack velocity, but the warm, dry air it blows into the county should raise temperatures into the 100s in the deserts, into the high 70s in the mountains and up to the 80s in the inland valleys.

Some low clouds may linger briefly along the beaches, forecasters said, but they will give way to sunny days with coastal highs close to 70.

Overnight lows will dip into the 50s along the coast, from 46 to 54 in inland valleys and the from 45 to 55 in the mountains.
