Tulane Sports Chief Resigns

NEW ORLEANS —
Tulane University Athletic Director Hindman Wall resigned today, saying he was physically and emotionally exhaused by two years of scandal and legal battles capped this month by allegations of point shaving and NCAA violations in basketball.
Wall would not say that the point shaving and recruiting scandals, which resulted in a recommendation to end the university’s men’s basketball program, brought about his decision to quit effective June 30.
