A 23-year-old Jamul woman was killed Friday when her car, eastbound on California 94, crossed the center line near Steele Canyon Road and collided head-on with another car, injuring two other people, authorities said. Patti Lindsay, whose car was traveling about 45 m.p.h. on the 55-m.p.h. two-lane highway, died of multiple injuries at UC San Diego Medical Center, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said. David Martin, 4, of Jamul, a passenger in Lindsay’s car, suffered massive head and lung injuries and was in critical condition at Children’s Hospital. The driver of the second car, whose identity was withheld pending notification of relatives, was in critical condition with multiple head injuries at Sharp Memorial Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said. A third car hit the back of the second car, but the driver, John T. Allcock, 29, of Jamul, was not injured, according to the CHP.
